Figure Modeling, mod9

Contrapposto poses are so fun! Or something like this. Truth be told, this sculpture sat at the 'halfway done' point for a month and eight days in our kitchen pantry with no ill side effects to the project, amazingly enough!! Anyways, this is the point where I didn't feel like working on figure modeling anymore and started to fall behind. Er, more like, I didn't do anymore homework assignments until nine days before the semester ended. The next figure modeling submissions you'll see will all have been done within an eight day time frame. ^^;

I still got As on all the projects I did those eight days, anyways. :phew: (*flex* :superman:) But I strained my right hand in the process, and suffered from a nasty sharp ache just below my knuckles everytime I moved it in certain ways until yesterday (when I stopped noticing my hand hurt).

The serrated marks on this sculpture are intentional and I like them as they are.. (plus, the tool I used to make them, a pampered chef citrus zester, became a highly favored implement of clay destruction those eight days. :D)

Let's see.... Still iffy on the hands and face, as we weren't into such detail that we needed to really define the fingers or facial features yet... and I think the hand holding that aluminum wire look way off.

But whatever... fun sculpture.

Not only is it done well, but it's an amazing choice for a pose! :) Love it.
